Outsourcing deal 'improves services'

A new deal has been signed between Towergate Partnership and Hornbill that should see the latter's systems used in a number of locations across the UK.
Hornbill's Supportworks ITSM will be implemented by Towergate, enabling the creation of a central service desk that is taken on by Maxima in an outsourcing deal.
Workers who use desktop capabilities at Towergate should now be able to offer enhanced services, it said.
Technical project manager at Towergate Trevor Clements stated that services have been improved at the organisation as a result of the agreement.
"Supportworks ITSM enables us to both support staff with system problems and plan any changes with careful resource allocation, minimising the impact upon users and the business," he commented.
These views were matched by business development director at Maxima Fraser Fisher, who remarked that the outsourcing link can be "customer-focussed" due to the "flexibility" of the Hornbill technology.
Maxima says that it operates on an international basis from venues in Ireland and the UK.
